Confidant vs Elgato Prompter
Elgato Prompter is hardware: a $299.99 teleprompter with a built-in 9-inch screen and beamsplitter glass that mounts on your camera, driven by Elgato's Camera Hub software with Voice Sync. Confidant is software. It shows the script on your Mac or phone and writes the script for you.
Short answer. Pick Elgato Prompter if you shoot on a DSLR or mirrorless camera and want perfect eye contact. Pick Confidant if you record with a laptop or phone and need the scripts written. You can also use both: Confidant writes, the Prompter displays.
